Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary

Overview: Also known as Keoladeo Ghana National Park, this bird sanctuary is an eminent bio-sphere reserve of varied local and migratory avifauna. Besides this, one can also enjoy the sight of a number of mammals which include Striped Hyena, Jungle Cat, Golden Jackal, Wild Boar, Sambar, Nilgai, Black Bug, Fishing Cat, etc. One can avail the best views of the site in a cycle rickshaw. Early morning and evening are the best parts of the day to visit this region.

Best time to visit: Spring, the mating season for most of the animal and bird species attracts hundreds of tourists across the globe to this place. October to March is the season for the incoming of the migratory birds and it is the time to visit this bird sanctuary.

Access: By Air: Agra (around 60 kms), New Delhi (175 Kms), Jaipur (180 Kms).

Railways: Nearest railway stations are Agra and Bharatpur.
