Overview:
Located in the district of Alwar in Rajasthan, This tiger reserve used to be the hunting spot for the family of Alwar. Extended over an area of 800 sq. kms and a core area accounting to 500 sq. kms, this is the abode of some of the rare species such as Leopard, Wild Dog, Jungle Cat, Jackal, Tiger and Civets Hyena. Sambar, Langur, Chausingha, Monkey, Nilgai and Wild Boar form the diet of the animals. Rhesus monkeys are also known to be found in abundance in the reserve.
